One Note Examples of Use

Microsoft One Note Thumb

As promised, I am following up on my last post, ” Productivity With One Note“; this time to give you examples of how I use the program. I am a blogger, web designer, and internet marketer. This is in addition to my roles as mother/carer and committee member of a national disability charity. I need to be well organized so that I can easily swap from role to role. I always keep One Note open and available for every time I want to make any kind of notes. I have a few separate “Notebooks” open at a time, which are [...] Continue Reading…

Productivity with One Note

One Note Thumb

Microsoft One Note is my primary method of recording all details of my online business programs, blog notes, web design and development activities, personal notes and reminders. My records are always available to me from any computer, anywhere. If you need to be organized I highly recommend that you consider using this program. It has improved my efficiency, productivity and time management and is a vital tool for me. Built into many of the MS Office packages, One Note does not get the attention it deserves. Its features are far more extensive and powerful than Evernote and other note taking tools. [...] Continue Reading…

Your Help Please

I publish my Blogosphere News post on an almost weekly basis and although some may see this as an easy post option, a fill in, I do spend a lot of time looking for items that I think may be of interest to try and keep you up-to-date. I do not just look in my feedreader for news in feeds I subscribe to but try to find information from various sources. This is a wonderful way of finding some excellent blogs that I have not come across before. Here are the subject areas I am covering: News Reading Blogging Tools [...] Continue Reading…

Blogosphere News 8th March

News Ad Lib Group Writing Project on Essential Strokes wowOwow (The Women of The Web) site is launching today 8th March – no idea what it is about but the current front page intrigued me – “If you could choose any women in the world, living or dead, which four faces would you put on Mount Rushmore?” UN Data gives free online access to the United Nations Data Access System database; an integrated information resource with current, relevant and reliable statistics. If you are interested in stats – there are currently 55 million records to search. Andy Beard Exclusive: Activity [...] Continue Reading…

Take Advantage of Your Host

I have talked previously of the advantages of hosting your own blog but only from the perspective of the blog itself. Owning your own domain and hosting package has other plusses, giving you freedom to create additional content for blogging and personal purposes. All you need is enough free space on your host server to be able to install other software and the choices are endless. You may be thinking that this all sounds too hard and that you do not have the know how to install and manage anything more than blog software but, for a large proportion of [...] Continue Reading…

Accessibility and Blogs – A Win Win Situation

What is Web Accessibility Web accessibility is all about enabling people with disabilities to use the web or use it more easily. In addition to those with permanent disabilities there are many many people with temporary impairments. Aging populations add to the numbers of those with difficulties. I would hazard a guess that at any one time there would be at least 20% of web users with some sort of problem that reduces their ability to use the internet to one degree or other. That does not include those, like me, who sit in front of this machine for so [...] Continue Reading…

Blogging Toolchest – Kwout

I am always pleased to find new utilities that make blogging quicker and easier and kwout, a brand new online screenshot and ‘quote’ capture service does just that. Callling itself a “simple quote tool for bloggers”, kwout lets you highlight any area on a webpage and grab it as an image or an image map. Unlike other screenshot programs, you do not have to save the image to disk and then upload it to an image storage service, your server or blog image store before posting. Instead, the code is given for you to copy and paste and embed the [...] Continue Reading…
