Yes I have seen a few of those too - I don’t mind them on sites that offer something extra where the author has spent a lot of time - eg a plugin, widget or template.

I agree that things get so easily lost in the normal archives and you have a good idea there.

I probably have too many posts to do the same but do have a separate page that lists all my posts by category and I use a tag cloud in my sidebar. I am able to put things into categories more easily than you would be able to do because of my blog topic.

You have a very good point there Michael although I know that when I am surfing and happen across new blogs I tend to look for a recent post feature to see if it is worth my while looking further. We all have different browsing habits. It would be interesting to find out how many people do look at a recent post list.

Hi and thank you for the great suggestions. I list all my blog titles for the year under the year title near the top of my opening page.

Once the year is over I put them in a scrollable text box to save room. Mind you I’m not a prolific writer but having gone to alot of work to get them out, I don’t want them to disappear into the blogosphere. Just a suggestion!
