Featured Widget Criteo

When I find new blog addins or widgets that I think may be of interest I add them to my sidebar – to either just feature them for a while or, as in the case of the Criteo Auto Roll, to try them out.

The blogs listed in the roll are meant to be based on the links that are clicked on by readers of this blog, with the aim of providing the links of most interest. Being newly installed, the links will not yet reflect this. If you are interested in tracking how accurate this is, you could click on links that interest you when you visit here and follow the progress of the roll, as I will be doing.

My own link will be displayed on other blogs too which is meant to increase incoming traffic. This will be something I will monitor too. I will be checking my blog stats to see if much traffic is coming my way from the widget. Traffic on its own is not of particular importance of course, it is returning readers that matter. If the roll does as it is meant to, the visitors that result should be those who have an interest in this blogs topic. In theory this should increase subscriptions and readers. I am a little skeptical of this but I will reserve my judgment until I have tried it for a while. I will let you know if it is of use.

I’ll be interested to see what the Criteo widget does for you. I had it on my blog for a while but culled it when I decided I had too many widgets, as it didn’t seem to be doing much for me.
