I would feel the same way about being told where to place the widget. Yes, it is low on my blog. No, I do not expect it to be high on anyone else's fold.
Sandy is right. If it is high on the fold and people are clicking, they will not read your site, just leave it.
If they are reading the site, it is really more useful to BlogRush at the bottom.

Do you use IE or Firefox Kim? I have had no problems with the Stumble toolbar although I have only really used the thumbs up button.

It seems that people are so keen to criticize something new. I found the same negativity over the new Digg features.

BlogRush is new and trying. I think they deserve some wriggle room. While I can see the "above the fold" rule as a worthwhile issue for some, I know I'd give up readers before I'd be told how to lay out my blog. I find with the blogs I read that I look around. If people aren't going to take a minute to look around, it doesn't matter where your widgets are.

Thanks again for translating the blog world for me.
