Beautiful entry, Sue. It does show your heart! :)
Yes, blogs reach out. Our words have real meanings, real power - as they are driven by truth, love, compassion and passion!

Mig's last blog post..Requiem

It makes a change for me to do these things quickly :-)
It is a wonderful quote - to be added to my list of favorites I think.

Great post :)
You make a good point about blogs reaching out and helping where support groups often fail.

It is a shame we need to hide behind nicknames at times, but I cannot see that changing. Even if certain subjects become less taboo and generally acceptable, because of our openness online, we will still need to protect ourselves from those who think differently and act in ways that are less than helpful, inappropriate or threaten us in some way - even if they become a minority

Anonymity retains our freedom of choice to choose who we reveal ourselves too, maintains our right to privacy and safety.

Beautiful post, on a theme that is close to my heart at the moment.

It's interesting that you mention the function of anonymity here, in allowing us the freedom to express innermost thoughts.

It is one of our present-day sadnesses, don't you think, that we still need to cloak those feelings and perhaps can only reveal them here, in the company of kind strangers.

Sue, thank you....for everything. Compassion is contagious and I aim to spread it. There's no cure for it though.

My favorite quote is the one from Gandhi - be the change we wish to see.
