Very nice quotes! I will some if I may:

A wise man learns by the mistakes of others,
a fool by his own.
Latin Proverb

Silence does not always mark wisdom.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

No man was ever wise by chance.
Seneca

Not to know at large of things remote
From use, obscure and subtle, but to know
That which before us lies in daily life,
Is the prime wisdom.
John Milton

The seat of knowledge is in the head, of wisdom,
in the heart.
William Hazlitt

This is a real masterpiece if you ask me. I'm sure a lot of research has been put into it.

I hope I'm allowed to reproduce it on my blog for the benefit of my readers.

Love this. One thing I would include is Faulkner's "kill your darlings." In other words, cut out the stuff you like the most if it's in your writing unnecessarily.

Great post.

Thanks,

Josh
